Series - Africa 4

 Well, it is May 1st and while I somewhat started already my diet and exercise process is now in full swing.  Unfortunately the weather here in Wisconsin is horrible.  As I look out the window it is a combination of rain and snow and 34 degrees F.  But I cannot let that deter me. So here is my plan for today and going forward through September 20th...


Weight                Current   220 pounds        Goal    180 pounds

To achieve this I am going the standard route - eat less exercise more.  But I am 70 and with bad knees etc. etc. etc.  So I need a regimen that will move me more make me more supple and lose weight.

Steps per day Goals:  May 7000 min  June 8000 min July 9000 min August 10000 min

Exercises are a blend of stretch and weights starting out light on the weights and increasing them just as I increased my steps - per month.  The exercises are monitored in a separate spreadsheet that I will incorporate once a month into this blog post.  It has this format

So there we have it.  Simple for now and depending on how I develop maybe we will improve upon it.

As for diet, I have set a target of 1700 cals per day.  Ideally balanced for protein, fat and carbs.

OK - Day 1 here I come!

OH - I will only post the exercise results weekly.
