Series - Africa Post 1

 We haven't told anyone yet, and since no one really reads these posts of mine this is a good place for me to record....  Linda and I are going to Africa!

We have it scheduled for September 20 through 28.  I know it sounds like a short period of time but at 70 we choose wisely how to vacation.  We've told only Katie (Linda told her actually), but no one else.  We were going to do it last year and didn't because of health issues - plus - so many people just wanted to talk about it and comment on it too much of which was well what if this happens etc.  

So no one else will know until probably mid-August.  Following is the trip in Summary:

DAY 1 September 20 2023
Fly out of Chicago to Frankfurt Deluxe Business Class

DAY 2 – September 21 2023

Frankfurt to Nairobi

At Nairobi Airport

·       Where we will be taken to Nairobi Nat/l Park to Emokoko for our 2 overnights in Nairobi

DAY 3 – September 22 2023

·         9am – private visit to Sheldrick

·         Giraffe Centre visit

DAY 4 thru 6 – September 23 2023

·         Wilson Airport for flight to Mara North Conservancy (est ETD 10:30am)

·         Arrive Ngare Serian Camp for 3 days of Safari

DAY 7 – September 27 2023

·         Flight to Nairobi 11:15 arrive 1:pm

·         Room at Sheraton (Day use only) until 9pm
Can leave room earlier – 6pm to Airport Flight leaves at 10:20pm.
Again Deluxe Business Class to Frankfurt and Chicago arriving Home on September 28th 1pm


There is still much to do and arrange but needless to say - We are excited!  I will post more details as I compile them.
