Why aren't people going back to work.
I hear people say: "No Presidential leadership" ! Hell, we haven't had that in the Presidency since Reagan (who by today's standards would be a RINO).
But to suggest its all about Presidential leadership is incorrect. Other than Federal funding which has not (yet as of this posting) stopped, the control of Job and state economy is more a function of the State legislature and Governor. Many states stopped the relief checks early and now they're done nationally so while I believe that likely contributed to our present employment concern, that was not the sole cause. So what is?
--- People so used to making more than minimum wage unemployed they just can't see going to work for a non-living wage?
--- Job dissatisfaction?
Or is it - and I'm sure I'll catch flack for this - poor parental guidance on the value of work? How many parents made their teens ALWAYS work through the summer to earn their 'extra money' versus just giving it to them so they could be those 'good parents'? How man made them earn their own money versus getting a salary from Mom & Dad for just doing what they should do at home as part of a family anyway? How many still have them at home with food on the table and laundry done etc.
I agree - leadership at State and Federal level is poor, but who elected the people in there? The same people raising those kids who now won't work. And please I am tired of hearing about election fraud.... poor leadership of this magnitude did not happen in just 8 months, it takes a generation of it to get a generation unwilling to work, so all parties are involved.
If you have anyone in your family that isn't working, or know someone in your neighborhood - ask them why. Encourage them, help them by suggesting positions you've seen or know are present, guide them - heck guilt them into it. There is not one person in my family unemployed at this time and I am pleased to say I have recently helped 2 teens find local well paying positions. I am asked often at stores and pharmacy: "if you know of anyone that wants a position we have them at well above the minimum wage."
You all agree the jobs are out there? Then Guide them to them. If the President or Governor forced it then we'd all complain about our freedoms....
We are a nation of (supposedly) active citizenship - quit pointing at those who you really don't want telling you what to do and get out there and do it yourself. A Democratic-Republic only survives with an active citizenship.
OK - whew! off my soap box for today. Think I just got a nose bleed.
